The route from an empty setlist to one you can perform from: add, order, then settle each song.

Almost everything you touch on stage lives in the per-song settings. Treat adding and settling as one job, not two.
Decide First
Reuse an existing song, or make a new one? The trade-off is in "Which one should I use" on Pick an Existing Song or Score. If you reuse one, editing it in one setlist changes it in the other.
The Order
- Create the setlist — Setlists.
- Add songs — choose the entry point in Choose Where to Add From. After a bulk add, fix the names in Check Song Names Before Adding.
- Order and annotate — song order in Setlist Detail, spoken notes and breaks in Setlist Memos.
- Settle each song — Item Settings: page range, audio, automatic page turns, tempo, display.
- Run the pre-show check — the "Before the show" section on that same page.
For songs that turn their own pages, continue with Turn Pages Automatically During a Show.
When It Does Not Work
- One song looks or behaves differently — the display override in Item Settings. If every song does, it is Global Settings
- Editing one song changed another setlist — the song is shared; see Pick an Existing Song or Score
- Added songs are still named after the file — fix them in Check Song Names Before Adding
