The route to keeping your hands free: which screens to use in what order, and where to look when it does not work.

Turn Pages Automatically During a Show

Turn Pages Automatically During a Show

The app can hold a record of "at this time, show this page". That record is a timeline, and each point in it is a cue. Turning pages automatically means giving a song a timeline and playing it during the show.

This page is only the route. Each step is explained on the page it links to.

The Order

  1. Decide what you are matching, first. A recorded track means playback time; a metronome or the bars in the score means setting BPM and time signature first. Place cues before deciding this and you will place them all again.
  2. In Item Settings, bind the score and its page range, the audio, and a timeline to the song.
  3. In Score View, play the song and add cues from the timeline bar, then tighten them in Timeline Cue Details.
  4. On the night, play it from Score View.

Tightening cues is rehearsal work. On stage, keep to play, stop, and jumping between cues.
