Change annotation visibility, timeline visibility, display pattern, scroll direction, and auto-follow while staying in the Score Viewer.

Score Viewer Display Menu

The Display menu in the Score Viewer's top bar lets you change how the current score is shown without leaving the performance screen. Use it when you want to hide annotations for one song, switch landscape to 2-in-1, or try auto-follow in continuous scroll.

Where Changes Are Saved

When you open a song from a setlist, display menu changes are saved as display overrides for that setlist item. That makes the menu useful for "this song only" adjustments.

When you open a score directly from the library, display pattern and timeline display changes save to Global Settings. Annotation visibility is best understood as a viewer-side visibility toggle while you are looking at that score.

Annotation Visibility

For PDF and image scores, you can show or hide annotations. This does not delete anything; it only changes whether existing markings are visible.

Hide annotations when the score is too crowded on stage. Show them again when rehearsing markings or checking an annotated neighboring song.

If annotations are hidden and you start annotating, the app shows them again so you do not write into an invisible layer.

If Annotation Visibility Reverts

Setlist-item display changes normally save. However, the current Display menu has no dedicated error indication, retry, or revert action if saving the annotation-visibility override fails.

If you reopen the score and it has returned to its earlier visibility, do not assume the earlier choice was saved. Reopen the score, apply the desired visibility again, then reopen it once more to verify that it remains. If it repeatedly reverts, record what you did and the resulting state, then report the problem.

Hiding annotations never deletes their content.

Timeline Display

For songs with timelines, choose "When Needed", "Always", or "Hidden".

When Needed: The safest default. Shows the timeline where it matters and leaves more space otherwise.
Always: Useful when you want to watch cues or playback position while performing or rehearsing.
Hidden: Use this when you want the score area as large as possible even for songs with timelines.

Display Pattern

Display pattern is saved separately for the current device orientation. For example, you can use 1 Page in portrait and 2 in 1 in landscape.

1 Page: Read one page as large as possible.
2 in 1: See a spread-like view in landscape.
2 in 1 Half: Keep the spread context while advancing by half-page steps.
Continuous Scroll: Read long scores or text-like material as one flow.
Wide / Long Score: Prioritize width for tall scores.

The extra options below the pattern depend on which pattern you choose.

Scroll Direction

For supported patterns, choose horizontal or vertical scrolling. Use horizontal when you want a page-turn-like feel, and vertical when the score reads more naturally from top to bottom.

For continuous scrolling patterns, choose Manual Navigation or Auto Follow.

Manual Navigation: You move the score yourself.
Auto Follow: The screen advances along with timeline playback.

Auto Follow assumes the timeline and audio are prepared. If it does not behave as expected, check the audio and timeline binding in Item Settings.

Global Settings vs. Per-Song Changes

Use Global Settings when you want the same display behavior for every song. Use the Score Viewer Display menu or Item Settings when one song needs its own display behavior.
