Trash

Trash holds deleted items temporarily rather than erasing them immediately. If you accidentally deleted a score, registered MusicXML/MXL, audio file, song, or timeline, this is the first place to check.

An empty Trash screen does not add much visual context. This page focuses on what to check when deleted items actually exist.

What You Can Do Here

• Browse deleted scores, registered MusicXML/MXL, audio, songs, and timelines
• Restore an item to its original location
• Permanently delete items you no longer need
• See how many days remain before automatic deletion

Restoring Items

Choose "Restore" to bring an item back. Even if you deleted a score right before a show, as long as it is still here you can get it back.

When you restore registered MusicXML/MXL that was moved to Trash, it returns to the MusicXML tab in the Library. Restoring it does not roll back or recreate any scores or songs that were previously created from that MusicXML.

Permanent Deletion

Permanent deletion cannot be undone. Make sure you really do not need an item before confirming.

If you permanently delete registered MusicXML/MXL, only that source asset is deleted. Scores and songs that were already created from the MusicXML are not deleted.

That said, you do not have to manually clean up — by default, items are permanently deleted automatically 30 days after they were removed. Anything you want to keep must be restored before that deadline, so do not wait too long.

What Is Displayed

Each item shows its type and the number of days remaining before automatic deletion. The countdown is based on the 30-day window from the time the item was deleted. Items that have no recorded deletion date — for example, data deleted before a previous app update — show "No expiry" and are not subject to automatic deletion. Check back here periodically to tidy these up when you are ready.

If You Get Stuck

• If data has disappeared from your library, check Trash first.
• If it is not here either, it has likely already been permanently deleted.
