Trash

If you deleted a score or audio by mistake, open Trash from the menu at the top and restore the item if it is still there. Items in Trash can be restored for 30 days after deletion. Permanent deletion cannot be undone. Deleted setlists do not go to Trash. If you only removed a song from a setlist, the song and score remain in Library.

Bring Back a Score or Audio You Need

1. Find the item in Trash by its name and type. Trash can hold scores, registered MusicXML/MEI source files, audio, songs, timelines for automatic page turns, and other items.
2. Choose Restore for that item.
3. Return to Library and check that it is there. Also open the song you will perform and check that its score and audio are available.

Moving audio to Trash removes it from the songs that used it. Restoring the audio file does not automatically put it back in those songs. Select it again in Item Settings.

A restored MusicXML/MEI source file returns to Manage Source Files in Library. Restoring it does not roll back or rebuild scores or songs made from it.

Expiry and Storage Space

Each item shows its type and the days remaining before automatic permanent deletion. An item not restored within 30 days of deletion is permanently deleted and can no longer be restored from Trash. Restore anything you need before its deadline.

Older items with no recorded deletion date show No expiry and are not deleted automatically. Moving something to Trash alone does not free storage space.

Permanently Delete Items to Free Space

Keep anything you may need to restore. Permanent deletion cannot be undone. Check the name and type before choosing permanent deletion for an item.

If you permanently delete a registered MusicXML/MEI source file, only that source asset is deleted. Scores and songs already created from it are not deleted. Existing scores remain viewable, while updating and transposing require a source file. MusicXML part creation also needs the source; MEI part extraction is not supported. You can continue those operations after permanent deletion by selecting a source file with the same content.

Some items, such as scores still in use, cannot be permanently deleted. You do not need to remove a song required for a show just to bypass this restriction. Check where the item is used and tidy only what you no longer need.

If an Item Is Missing or Still Does Not Work

• It is not in Trash: First check Global Search and Library for an item that is still present. Removing a song from a setlist does not put it in Trash.
• You deleted the setlist: Permanent deletion of a setlist cannot be undone. You can create a new setlist using songs still in Library.
• You need a permanently deleted score or audio: If you still have the original file, you can import it again. Deleted settings and annotations may not come back with it. If you have a backup, read Backup and Restore first: restoring it replaces the current data.
• Restored audio does not play in the song: Restoring the file and selecting it for a song are separate actions. Choose the audio again in that song's settings.
