Choose a target key and notation style to transpose all ChordPro chords at once.
Transpose
Transpose
The Transpose sheet is for shifting all the chords in a ChordPro score to a different key at once. It is ideal when you need to match the playing key to a vocalist's range or a specific instrument.

What You Set Here
- How many semitones to shift
- Which notation to use for the result: System (follows the app's setting), Flat, or Sharp
Before You Start
Without a key directive in the score, the app cannot determine a reference pitch for transposing. Add a key directive near the top of the content before using this sheet.
Example: placing {key: C} on the first line tells the app to treat the score as C major and transpose from there.
The easiest way to add a key directive is to use the "Key" item in ChordPro Insert.
Troubleshooting
- Transpose button is disabled or gives unexpected results — The score is missing a
{key: ...}directive. Add one using the steps above and try again.
