Check the Conductor connection status, pause or resume sync, or disconnect.
Connection Status
Use this sheet to check a Conductor connection or temporarily stop following on your own device. Tap the Conductor status indicator at the top of the score viewer to open Conductor Connection. Connect to Conductor, where you find a host, is a separate sheet.
Check the Green or Red Indicator
- Green (connected): Check the host's name and connection state. Make sure the name is the one you intended. You can also pause or resume sync and disconnect here.
- Red (unexpectedly disconnected): Open this sheet to check the situation. Closing it dismisses the notice but does not restore the connection. If it stays disconnected, reconnect using Conductor Scan.
- No indicator (not connected): Open Conductor Scan if you want to sync. You do not need a connection to read on one device.
A BLE connection also shows signal strength, RSSI, and BLE ID. These details can help when reporting a connection problem.
Check Another Page on Your Own Device
Turning pages manually or scrolling continuously while following temporarily releases only this Viewer's page follow. The parent and other Viewers keep their positions, and this device stays connected and receives song positions.
Page follow resumes when Conductor reaches the next cue. To return sooner, select Resync to Conductor in the score viewer or this sheet. Check that you return to the page for Conductor's current position.
Pause or Resume Following Time
Select Pause sync to stop following time, including display, audio, metronome, and automatic page turns. Manual page turns do not stop all of these.
Resuming sync returns to Conductor's current position, rather than where you paused. Check that you are ready to rejoin further along before resuming. To end the connection itself, select disconnect.
If Sound Stops but the Connection Continues
If only your sound stops, a call or notification may have interrupted audio. An interruption on a child Viewer does not stop the parent or other devices. After the OS signals that audio is available again and fresh sync information arrives, audio resumes from the current position if playback is still running.
First see When Calls or Notifications Interrupt Playback or Sound in Mixer Settings. A sound-only symptom does not call for repeated reconnecting or timing corrections.
If the Connection Does Not Return
For BLE, check distance and nearby wireless conditions. For LAN, check the shared Wi-Fi or LAN and local network permission. Reconnect using Conductor Scan, then test a song change to check that the intended song opens.
Sync stops while the app is in the background. Returning to it automatically resyncs to the latest state.
